Position: Estimator – Junior Project Manager
Salary: Dependent upon experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing progress of on-site installations, weekly reporting of site progress and ensuring on-site installations are to Brookvent standard
- Appointment & management of sub-contractors
- Liaising with client managers and other project stakeholders
- Estimating job costs at tender stage and organising estimating workload to ensure quotes are returned on time
- Forecasting material requirements and material take offs from ventilation drawings
- Analysis of project specification
- Value engineering.
- Reporting on performance to contracts manager
- Monitoring live job costs to ensure pricing is accurate
- Pricing contract variations
- Administration of contracts
- Any other duties as required
Experience Required:
- 3rd Level education in a construction/engineering/manufacturing discipline
- Full clean driving license and access to car
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly with Excel
- Proficiency in English both verbal and written
- Ability to interpret construction drawings
- Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
- Experience in the residential construction sector would be advantageous
