After the biggest football event this year in the local calendar saw Northern Ireland face Poland in Euro 2016 and unfortunately lose the game 1-0 there are probably a lot of disheartened fans around the office. But don’t forget that the real battle between Northern Ireland and Poland took place last weekend in Belfast at the Olympia leisure centre and Brookvent NI beat Brookvent Polska convincingly 3-0.
For the first time ever BROOKVENT NI took on BROOKVENT Polska in what was to be THE most exciting game in football history. With absolutely no international experience, caps or even shin pads, both squads laced up and turned out to give 100% passion on the pitch!
BROOKVENT is well known for its quality and performance and these 2 teams did not fail to impress on both counts. The away side showed up with strong support with Team Polska banners, flags and 6 cheer leaders, who made their voice heard all the way through the game.
The first half was very tight with Team Polska rattling the crossbar a couple of times. Team NI found its feet in the 2nd half firing home 3 great goals from play! After the aircycle trophy and medals were handed out both sides shook hands and retired to the bar to enjoy a ‘few’ beers.
Speaking after the final whistle, Tomasz Kowalski, Captain of BROOKVENT Polska, commented…
“Next game will be our home game and I don’t see any other option than 4:0 for us!!”
