The Project St. Teresa’s Court
St. Teresa’s Court is a unique development consisting of 42 high specification apartments, specially designed to meet the needs of people aged over 55. Facilities include a stunning roof garden and the whole complex has been designed with high tech security features.
The apartments are built to a high energy efficiency standard to ensure a warm home whilst helping to reduce fuel bills and easing the strain on the environment. To uphold this standard Brookvent manufactured and supplied 42 of its highly efficient aircycle 1.2 Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery systems, and bespoke product kits itemised per apartment.
Project Design
Brookvent’s dedicated Design team worked closely with our client and key stakeholders to understand the high specification. High energy efficiency standard required on the project and developed a bespoke design match.
Product Solution
As space was critical on this project Brookvent proposed its aircycle 1.2 Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery system. The highly efficient but compact aircycle was easily installed in the small, high level cupboard space. We also provided bespoke product kits, itemised per apartment.
“Due to the building location adjacent to the railway, mechanical ventilation was explored to satisfy Building Regulations and acoustic problems – MVHR was found to be the best solution for acoustic requirements and an increased apartment energy efficiency. The system will continually circulate air within the apartments providing a comfortable fresh environment.” John Lines, Bullock Construction
Installation
Brookvent audited the installation and individually commissioned each unit. We developed an onsite support plan, working closely with our client to facilitate delivery of materials in line with the programme of works. This was a cost effective approach that resulted in minimal wastage on site and conserved storage space on a project where space was critical.
