The Project | Greenwich Peninsula
The transformation of Greenwich Peninsula represents one of the largest regeneration schemes in Europe. It will comprise of 10,000 new homes, new schools and facilities and a major commercial district that runs along 1.6 miles of Thames river frontage.
The project consists of a mixed tenure residential scheme and the apartment block is only 10 minutes walk from the iconic O2/Millennium Dome. Brookvent designed, installed and commissioned 161 units in a 9 storey block, servicing 161 apartments.
Project Design
Brookvent’s dedicated Design team worked closely with our client to develop a bespoke design and detailed programme of works. Brookvent has a forward thinking approach to coordinating our systems with other services – space is at a premium in London so it was key to minimise disruption to the living space in habitable rooms on this project.
Project Solution
Brookvent proposed its highly efficient aircycle 1.2 Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery system. We added value by bespoke manufacturing an external grill, specifically made to match the building facade of the Greenwich Peninsula apartment block and installed kitchen ductwork from the cooker hood.
Installation
From inception to completion Brookvent had a dedicated Design team, Contracts Manager and Project Management Team to deliver the project. Regular visits throughout the build, to monitor the contract, ensured everything ran smoothly across the four main stages of the installation process.
Brookvent is an award winning, manufacturer and installer of market leading domestic ventilation systems for a range of residential dwelling types. Our innovative aircycle 1.2 was a high performance fit for the project with Specific Fan Power down to 0.53 W/l/s and Heat Recovery Efficiency up to 93%.
The Greenwich Peninsula regeneration scheme is a landmark development and Brookvent is proud to have been engaged to design, manufacture and install the residential ventilation solution for this project.
