Role Core Purpose:
Manages a geographical sales territory and sells across a number of sectors.
Accountabilities and Key Tasks
- Responsible for sales growth and budget in the assigned region by developing existing and new customer accounts.
- Creates sales objectives to achieve sales growth and budget targets for the region.
Preparation
- Defines target customers and the method for prospecting as well as other tactics per customer.
- Develops a network within the region.
- Develops existing customer relationships in order to maximise sales.
- Identifies new opportunities in the region to grow sales.
- Connects with key influencers in the sales cycle and is known as the HVAC expert.
- Understands market needs.
- Works with the marketing department to create specific marketing tools.
- Works closely with the team in order to identify opportunities within the assigned region, particularly targeting international accounts that purchase from other regions.
- Collects information on decision-makers, competitor activity, and other market information.
Sales Activities
- Makes phone calls and arranges sales appointments.
- Attends customer and prospect meetings
- Organises and conducts demos
- Understands customers’ needs
- By working with customers and colleagues as appropriate, creating specifications for products, producing quotations, and negotiating with the customer to close deals.
- The point of contact for technical queries and ensures that the issues are managed to the customer’s satisfaction
- Responsible for commissioning, once the product has been installed as per the specification.
- Provides basic on-site training for customers’ operators and answers technical queries/resolves technical problems.
- Attends networking events, exhibitions, and seminars
Reporting
- Keeps the CRM system up to date and maximizes the benefit from the system.
- Produces regular and accurate sales reports, figures, and sales forecasts as required.
- Reporting on key activities including KPIs as required.
- Maintains the channels of communication between the customer and the business.
- Attends regular sales and other company meetings.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may reasonably be required from time to time.
The Person
- Education: Ideally graduate calibre, with a technical or business education.
- Strong sales acumen and sales experience.
- Ideally, will have regional sales experience within the HVAC industry.
- Technical and/or specification sales experience is required.
- Good level of IT skills.
- Professionalism, enthusiasm, and interest in the region.
- Strong sales skills including the ability to sell the story/concept.
- Creative thinking and ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities.
- Relationship building, networking, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills with an outgoing personality.
- Self-motivated, driven to achieve targets with a high sense of competition.
- Effective questioning and listening skills to understand customers’ needs.
- Resilience, ability to remove customer barriers and close the sale.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and organise a high workload.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
Other Requirements
- Valid Driving License
- Willingness to travel for business.

- 30 days annual leave (pro-rata)
- Pension match up to 3% of salary
- 37.5hrs per week. (Monday-Thursday 8.30-5pm and Friday 8.30-2.30pm)
