The Brookvent SM HY is an intelligent, humidity-controlled window ventilation solution designed to provide fresh air automatically when it is needed most. Combining a compact, modern design with smart humidity-sensitive technology, the SM HY helps maintain a healthier and more comfortable indoor environment while supporting efficient background ventilation.

Unlike conventional manually operated trickle vents, the SM HY automatically adjusts the airflow according to the humidity level within the room. Its integrated polyamide humidity-sensitive strip responds to changes in indoor moisture levels, allowing the vent to regulate the amount of incoming fresh air without requiring an electrical connection or external power supply.

When indoor humidity rises, the humidity-sensitive mechanism adjusts the ventilation opening to increase air exchange as required. When humidity levels decrease, the vent adjusts accordingly. This automatic operation helps manage excess moisture and supports a more balanced indoor environment, making it particularly suitable for homes and buildings where condensation and everyday moisture are a concern.

Designed for installation in PVC, timber and aluminium window systems, the SM HY offers flexibility across a wide range of residential and commercial projects. Its discreet, surface-mounted design integrates neatly with the window frame, while the external hood provides a coordinated finish.

The SM HY features three operating modes: automatic, open and closed. In automatic mode, the humidity-sensitive mechanism regulates airflow according to indoor conditions. The open setting allows ventilation when required, while the closed setting enables the user to manually shut off the air supply when appropriate.

Manufactured with practicality and ease of maintenance in mind, the SM HY incorporates a removable monobloc casing that simplifies access for cleaning and maintenance. The system directs incoming air horizontally into the room and can be used in ventilation systems based on passive air supply.
