The Brookvent SM ACOUSTIC is a high-performance acoustic window vent designed to provide effective background ventilation while helping to reduce unwanted external noise. Combining a modern, rounded design with innovative acoustic features, the SM ACOUSTIC offers a practical solution for residential and commercial buildings where indoor comfort and noise reduction are important considerations.
Unlike conventional trickle vents, which can allow significant external noise to enter when open, the SM ACOUSTIC is specifically designed to deliver acoustic attenuation while maintaining a controlled supply of fresh air. With sound reduction of up to 40 dB Dn,e,w in the open position when fitted with the dedicated acoustic hood, it is particularly suitable for properties exposed to road traffic, urban activity and other sources of environmental noise.
Manufactured from high-quality, UV-stabilised ABS, the SM ACOUSTIC combines durability with a clean, unobtrusive appearance. Its rounded design integrates neatly with a wide range of window styles, making it an excellent choice for new-build developments, window replacement projects and refurbishment installations.
The SM ACOUSTIC provides a nominal equivalent ventilation area of 2,500 mm² and features three airflow modes with variable opening settings. This allows users to adjust the ventilation opening to suit their requirements while benefiting from the product's acoustic design.
One of the key advantages of the SM ACOUSTIC is its choice of three external hood configurations: the dedicated acoustic hood, the slim hood and the flat grille. Each option offers a different balance of acoustic performance, external appearance and weather tightness, providing flexibility for different building designs and installation requirements.
The external hood incorporates an insect grille as standard, helping to prevent unwanted insects from entering through the ventilation opening. A unique gasket seal design supports the vent's sealing performance, while the removable slot-trickle feature provides additional flexibility for controlling airflow.
Available in a selection of colours, including white, brown, grey, black, and oak, the SM ACOUSTIC can be coordinated with different window frames and architectural styles. Bespoke RAL colours and mixed internal and external colour combinations may also be available on request.
