The Brookvent SM1200+ trickle vent is the perfect combination of compact design, convenient operation and enhanced acoustic performance. Featuring a sleek, unobtrusive profile and a modern angled design, the SM1200+ provides an effective background ventilation solution while maintaining a neat, coordinated appearance across a wide range of window styles.

Designed for surface mounting onto suitable windows, the SM1200+ allows fresh air to circulate while windows remain closed. Its compact aluminium construction makes it an excellent choice for residential and commercial properties, including new-build developments, window replacement projects and refurbishment installations.

Building on the benefits of the SM1200, the SM1200+ features a convenient rod-control mechanism, making it easier to operate when the vent is positioned higher up on a window. The control rod can be specified on either the left-hand or right-hand side, with a choice of 300mm, 600mm and 900mm lengths to suit different installation requirements.

The rod-control operation is designed to support control accessibility requirements under Parts F and N of the Building Regulations in England and Wales, subject to the applicable requirements and correct installation. This makes the SM1200+ a practical option for projects where ease of access and user convenience are important considerations.

The SM1200+ also offers impressive acoustic performance, helping to balance fresh-air circulation with indoor comfort. According to the manufacturer's published information, the vent achieves sound reduction of up to 47 dB Dn,e,w in the closed position and up to 30 dB Dn,e,w in the open position under the stated test conditions.

An integrated insect grille helps prevent unwanted insects from entering through the ventilation opening, while the double-action closing mechanism provides a defined closed position. A thermal foam seal helps reduce the risk of condensation forming on the internal regulator; this seal is excluded from the slot-trickle configuration.

Manufactured from extruded aluminium with a durable polyester powder-coated finish and UV-stable uPVC end caps, the SM1200+ is designed for long-lasting performance. Available in a range of colours and finishes, including white, black, brown, oak and mill finish, it can also be supplied in bespoke finishes to suit individual project requirements.
