The Brookvent Aircycle 4.1 is a high-performance Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) system designed to provide continuous, balanced ventilation for medium to large residential properties, including houses, apartments and self-build developments.
The system continuously extracts stale, moisture-laden air from kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and other wet areas, while supplying fresh, filtered air to living spaces and bedrooms. Before the extracted air is discharged outside, its heat energy is recovered through the unit's heat exchanger and transferred to the incoming fresh air. This helps reduce heat loss through ventilation while creating a healthier, fresher and more comfortable indoor environment.
Designed for Flexible Installation
The Aircycle 4.1 has been designed to meet the requirements of modern residential construction, offering wall or floor mounting options to suit different property layouts and installation requirements. With top or side duct connection options, the unit provides flexibility when planning ventilation systems and working within available installation space.
Its versatile design makes the Aircycle 4.1 suitable for new-build homes, self-build projects, refurbishment work and larger residential developments.
Energy-Efficient Ventilation
With heat recovery efficiency of up to 94% and a Specific Fan Power (SFP) as low as 0.41 W/l/s, the Aircycle 4.1 is designed to deliver effective ventilation while minimising energy consumption.
The system recovers heat from outgoing air and transfers it to incoming fresh air, helping reduce ventilation-related heat loss. Combined with energy-efficient fan technology, this supports comfortable indoor temperatures and efficient ventilation throughout the home.
Automatic Humidity Control
The Aircycle 4.1 features an integral humidistat that monitors moisture levels in the extracted air. When humidity rises above the set level, the system can automatically increase ventilation to help remove excess moisture.
This helps manage humidity produced by everyday activities such as cooking, showering and bathing, supporting a healthier indoor environment and helping reduce the risk of condensation.
Summer Bypass
The Aircycle 4.1 has an automatic summer bypass to help keep your home comfortable during warmer weather.
When the outside temperature rises above 17°C and the indoor extracted air temperature rises above 21°C, the bypass automatically opens. This allows fresh air to bypass the heat recovery core, helping to bring cooler outdoor air into the home without recovering heat from the outgoing air.
The bypass will automatically close when either the outside temperature falls below 17°C or the indoor temperature falls below 21°C.
Frost Protection
The Aircycle 4.1 has an automatic frost protection function to help protect the heat recovery core during cold weather.
When the outside temperature drops below the factory-set 5°C, the supply fan automatically switches off for 5 minutes every hour. This allows warmer air from inside the home to pass through the heat recovery core without cold fresh air entering at the same time.
This helps raise the temperature inside the unit and prevents ice from forming within the heat recovery core, helping to protect the system and maintain reliable operation during colder conditions.
Frost protection operates automatically, so no manual adjustment is required.
